Initial Handicaps
I have used the last 5 rounds of 2006, not including the Championship/Scramble night, to calculate your initial handicaps for 2007. Remember, your handicap is the average your last 5 rounds, rounded down. You must have recorded at least 3 rounds in 2006 in order to have an established handicap.
Examples
John Wells, HCP: 8, Rounds: 45, 45, 47, 45, 41.
Billy Bob, HCP: --. Scores 51 on first night of league, so uses a handicap of 15 for that night.
New or returning league members who do not have an established league handicap will have their handicap determined every week by subtracting their score on that night by 36.
A sheet sorted by new team numbers will be posted with your 2007 Initial Handicap. Use this handicap for the first night.
Handicaps for the second and third league nights will be determined using an average of your initial handicap and your 2007 scores. Handicaps for the forth and fifth nights will be based on the average of your 2007 scores only. After five rounds have been recorded your handicap will be based on your most recent 5 rounds in 2007.
